Relaxin'

This holiday season we did a lot of relaxing and just spending some good family time together. Here are a few shots of us.

Santa Claus

This year I decided it was time that Michael met Santa Claus. Knowing that the Galleria would be packed, we decided to try the Bass Pro shop. Sounds crazy, but I'd seen an advertisement that they had a large Santa Land with free photos with Santa. Just walking into that place was fun for Michael. It was like a real lodge complete with huge trees, ponds, and animals galore. Santa Land was a hit too. We only waited for 15 minutes and were able to take a picture using our own camera. Michael handled it like a champ. No smile, but at least no tears. Couldn't ask for more after dropping him off on the lap of some stranger, aka Santa.

First Official Haircut

Michael was starting to look like he had a mullet so I knew it was time for his first professional haircut. I'd put this milestone off for way too long. So, Saturday afternoon we piled into the car and headed to Snip Its for his first cut. As expected he screamed his way through it. I held his hands while the hairdresser did her magic. 5 minutes later he had a handsome new hairdo. The first picture is a before shot. You can see his nose starting to run as he starts to get upset realizing something is about to happen. I didn't get an after shot of him in the chair because he was just too upset and wanted into my safe arms.
